TERMS OF AGREEMENT
By registering for and participating in the Hilltop Christian Fellowship Men’s Retreat, I understand and agree to the following:
1. Christian Retreat Environment
Hilltop Christian Fellowship is a Christian ministry and house of worship. This retreat is intended for Christian fellowship, spiritual growth, recreation, service, and the building of relationships. I agree to conduct myself in a manner respectful of the ministry, the property, other participants, and the purpose of the retreat.
2. Voluntary Participation
I understand that my participation in the retreat and its activities is voluntary. Activities may include outdoor recreation, property projects, use of ATVs or other equipment, campfires, hiking, water activities, shooting or firearms activities, and other recreational or ministry activities.
I may decline to participate in any activity with which I am not comfortable.
3. Personal Responsibility and Safety
I agree to exercise reasonable care and good judgment while participating in retreat activities and to follow safety instructions provided by Hilltop representatives or activity leaders.
I will not participate in an activity while impaired or when I believe I cannot safely do so.
4. Firearms and Equipment
Any participant possessing or using a firearm, ATV, vehicle, tool, or other potentially hazardous equipment is responsible for handling and using it safely and lawfully.
Firearms may only be discharged in designated areas and at designated times. Participants must follow the instructions of the person supervising the activity. Horseplay, reckless conduct, or unsafe handling of firearms or equipment will not be permitted.
5. Assumption of Risk
I understand that a rural retreat property and outdoor recreational activities involve ordinary and sometimes unavoidable risks, including uneven terrain, animals, insects, weather, water, vehicles, tools, equipment, firearms, and other participants.
I voluntarily assume the ordinary risks associated with my participation, except to the extent otherwise provided by applicable law.
6. Personal Property
I am responsible for my own personal belongings, vehicles, firearms, equipment, electronics, and other property brought to Hilltop. Hilltop Christian Fellowship is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged personal property except as otherwise required by law.
7. Property and Facilities
I agree to respect Hilltop’s buildings, grounds, equipment, furnishings, vehicles, and natural surroundings. I will promptly report any significant damage, unsafe condition, accident, or injury to a Hilltop representative.
8. Conduct
Participants are expected to treat one another with respect and Christian fellowship. Fighting, threatening behavior, intentional property damage, illegal drug use, or conduct that creates an unreasonable danger to others may result in a participant being asked to leave the retreat.
9. Schedule and Activities
Retreat schedules and activities may be changed, postponed, or cancelled because of weather, safety considerations, availability, ministry needs, or other circumstances.
10. Emergency Assistance
If an emergency occurs and I am unable to make decisions for myself, I authorize Hilltop representatives to contact emergency services and take reasonable steps to assist me until professional assistance is available.
11. Release and Acknowledgment
To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, I release and hold harmless Hilltop Christian Fellowship, Inc., and its pastors, officers, directors, volunteers, hosts, and representatives from claims arising from the ordinary risks of my voluntary participation in retreat activities, except for claims that cannot lawfully be released or waived.
12. Agreement
By checking the box below and submitting my registration, I acknowledge that I have read and understand these Terms of Agreement and agree to abide by them.
